colorful Annual Chalk Art Contest, fast becoming an Autumn favorite
on the near Southside in Saint Louis.
In October, all will have the opportunity to participate and/or
witness the coloring of many sidewalks in historic Benton Park at
Jefferson Avenue and Arsenal Street in Saint Louis, Missouri.
It’s a unique temporary art form. All chalkers must pre-register to
compete. Registration fee includes chalk and a cold soda from
sponsors. Space is limited. The chalk comes in brilliant colors of
bright and light green, orange, red, yellow, blue, purple, fuchsia,

The event is sponsored by the Benton Park Neighborhood Association:
a non-profit organization of volunteers.
Many local businesses participate and will be listed in subsequent

event. Judges from the community view all the artwork and awards are
given. All the chalk artists are anonymous for judging.
