An energetic developer with a sense
of vision, Mr. Ryan Bax, purchased the abandoned house at 2415
Salena (at the SW corner of the intersection of Salena and James).
From the front of the house you see the wall of loading docks along
the former Falstaff shipping building, to the north is the storage
lot for trailers that are doubtfully roadworthy.
Ryan's plan is to close in the
exterior stairs to 2nd floor to gain more space for a kitchen and
unstairs in the bedroom area. This corner of the house faces the
back yard and the neighbor's house to the south. Cultural Resources
has flagged his project as not conforming to the new historic code.
Please review the attached and-
- Confirm if you believe the
proposed improvements satisfy your interpretation of the code or
- Provide your input as to what
needs to be done in order for this to conform with the code.
Ryan was able to negotiate a
limited building permit to keep his carpenters on site. He would
like to get moving on the foundation work before ground freezes. If
you have a moment to look at this please try to your thoughts to me
by the weekend so a timely reply may be provided to Ryan.
