1933 Sidney
Rothschild Development and Red
Brick Management
At this time they are planning to
develop the rectory portion of the structure into six (6) apartments
and provide surface parking to the east of the rectory building,
with access from the alley.
In the future they are interested in developing 3-story townhomes in
the yard area to the east of the church structure. Last, while no
definitive plans have been inked for the church, they envision a
more low-impact type use, e.g. art studio or gallery, etc. The
rectory is being developed with historic tax credits (Missouri +
federal).
The developer was issued a demolition and foundation permit for the
rectory building and is pursuing a letter of support from the
neighborhood for a conditional use permit for the parking aspect of
this project.
While it will be nice to see this property restored
back to life, we believe we need to be concerned about the future
aspects of this development, size / set-back of townhomes, the
parking aspect for the church structure, etc.
