1.) Take note our
next planning meeting is at Marian Amies place at 1960 Arsenal
on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. This particular Thursday is
November 30th. You are so so so cordially invited - a teacup
will await you!
2.) Lisa Watson
asked me to relay the fact that Park Officials, rustling around
in the treetops quickly becoming bare, have told us that we can
wait till next spring for the main planting(s) we have been
trying to get accomplished. This does not negate the fact that a
shadowy conspiracy group, shovels in hand, plans to purchase and
plant the new tree component of the plan. Marian has $60.00 owed
to the Garden and will use this money to buy the trees. Daven,
another co-conspirator, has used his little orange/red tractor
to dig mysterious holes. Then someone, possibly with the name of
Dan Guenther, has allegedly been the mastermind behind the plant
the trees before spring madness returns. I, of course, remain
the completely innocent typist, with each letter being bumped
into place by one, two, or three fingertips.
3.) On a lesser
note, Glenn McGowan has acquired a limb shredder that needs a
tune-up. He can update us further on Nov. 30th.
4.) I have some
agenda items for discussion: * a work day seems to be needed as
the cardboard pile is increasing in size, perhaps we can cover
it up with the wood chips or continue work on the path
extensions. * the mulberry limbs still need to be clipped up and
sent off …* there needs to be a little more hay and chips spread
around as the cardboard is showing through. Call me if you want
to help do this work at 772-1190.
5.) Daven has
reported that the Gateway Greening group has the grant but needs
a bit more information and I will help him to get the
information.
