Rehabbing Resources
Here
is a great list of local resources that can help you with almost any
question you might have.
Rehabbers Club Users Group

The
Rehabber's Club is a collection of folks interested in rehabbing in
St. Louis City. They meet each month in a different neighborhood
with the mission of visiting all 79 neighborhoods in the city.
Topics range from *historic tax credits, how to work with
contractors, how to find a property to fix up, how to finance that
property, residential to commercial properties, working with
long-range commercial redevelopment plans or rehabbing a bathroom in
your house, Co-housing, energy efficient renovation, and a host of
other topics...from working on a faucet to redeveloping lofts,
investing in multi-families or first time buyers wanting to take on
a major old home.
Learn
about city neighborhoods, and financing packages, too. Meetings are
usually held the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:30-11:30 am.
Often times, the group tours homes currently being rehabbed in the
neighborhoods they are meeting in. Also, the group has a listserve
on the internet where they share information, ask questions, etc.
There are about 1800 members with a wide range of experience, so
many a question gets some good answers.
You
can subscribe to this *free* listserve by sending an email to *rehabbersclub-subscribe@yahoogroups.com*.
The group is an official on-going project supported by ReVitalize
St. Louis. For more info, call Marti Frumhoff @ 314-368-6373 or

that, as there are other organizations aptly addressing such (more
ambitious) interests....(more)
The
Rehabber's Club

real estate agent Marti Frumhoff, has a slick website.
St. Louis Real
Estate Investors Association
An
organization with a long history of gathering local investors.
RenovateSTL.com
This
web site was developed to serve as a resource to both novices and
experienced renovators working in the City of Saint Louis. Saint
Louis is composed of 79 distinct neighborhoods, each with its own
unique mix of historic buildings ranging from small frame shotgun
homes to multi million dollar mansions, corner storefronts to
massive warehouses. Preserving, restoring, and renovating these
buildings helps enhance the city's overall character and appeal.
