The St. Louis Fire Department is the largest branch in the Department of Public Safety, and includes the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention Bureau and specialization units in Fire Suppression, Hazardous Materials, Rescue, and Accident Extrication. The Fire Marshal is in charge of the Fire Prevention Bureau and is responsible for enforcement of all fire and safety regulations. The Fire Dept. Also has the responsibility for fire prevention and suppression at Lambert International Airport.
